Investigative brand journalism for Amazon Studios
For this award-winning branded content series, I teamed up with veteran Los Angeles Police Department Detective Tim Marcia to spotlight a cold case...and hopefully catch a killer. Amazon Studios funded these Guardian true-crime reports in support of the Bosch detective show, where several senior LAPD detectives are consultants. Ultimately, How to Solve a Murder unlocked new funding for cold-case investigative work at the LAPD and got a passionate social audience trying to crowdsource clues for a 1980 homicide.
